
Terms and Conditions
Please read these carefully, they contain details of the contract between the hirer (you) and the owners (us). Once we have received your deposit, you, the hirer have agreed to the full terms and conditions, as stated below, and as applicable at the time of your booking and holiday.
Important information
We do not provide the following;
- Pillows and quilts / Bed linen / Towels/ Bath mats. These can be hired additionally for £50 per booking.
- Daily Fishing Passes. These can be purchased at 7 Lakes Country Park Reception.
We do provide;
- Essential cooking equiptment
- Pots pans / dinnerware / glass wear / cutlery etc
- Toilet roll
The following may be available but not guaranteed so it is advised to bring your own:
- Tea, coffee and sugar
- All cleaning products, including washing up detergent
Terms and conditions of booking
To ensure an enjoyable holiday for everyone we request that you and each member of your party comply with the following guidelines;
Deposits and Payment.
You can make an enquiry direct with us using this page.
You must provide us with the names and ages of the people that are to be on the booking form and if possible, the car registration.
If you are bringing an unpowered craft to use on Clearwater Lake, please let us know in advance and register it with 7 Lakes Country Park reception. If you are bringing a craft with a sail, you must be insured and show your insurance at the reception. Please ensure that you read the Lake Rules.
DEPOSITS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE IN THE EVENT OF CANCELLATION AND ARE NON-TRANSFERABLE.
1. If the deposit is not received within 2 working days of the provisional booking, it will be assumed that the provisional booking is no longer required.
2. Upon receiving the £50 deposit, you’ll receive confirmation for the dates that you have booked. This will secure your booking and also act as a security bond. This does not deduct from the hire charge.
3. THE BALANCE OF THE HIRE CHARGE IS DUE 6 WEEKS PRIOR TO ARRIVAL, if the balance is NOT received within this time frame, then we reserve the right to hire the caravan to someone else. Bookings taken with less than 6 weeks remaining can only be accepted if payment is made in full and received within 2 working days.
4. The deposit of £50 also acts as a security bond, and is in addition to the hire charge and total amount requested for the booking.
This amount will be collected in addition to your hire charge. This bond is fully refundable at the end of the hire period and returned within 14 days of departure date. We reserve the right to withhold some or the entire bond and /or bill the hirer for the additional cost of:
a) replacing and/or repairing all damage
b) all breakages and loss ( including keys)
c) charge for any excessive cleaning the caravan (the caravan should be left on departure, as found, with all rubbish removed)
d) Any time time period the property is occupied outside of the contacted arrival and departure times and the further information as set out in the terms and conditions.
e) We allow you to use a disposable BBQ so that you can enjoy the outside space that the caravan provides. THE BBQ MUST BE USED ON THE PATIO AND NOT ANY OF THE DECKED AREA. THE BBQ MUST BE REMOVED BEFORE YOUR DEPARTURE. FAILING TO FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS WILL RESULT IN A RELEVANT DEDUCTION FROM YOUR BOND.
THE HIRER MUST INFORM THE CARAVAN OWNERS OR YOUR SITE CONTACT BEFORE 8PM ON THE DAY OF ARRIVAL OF ALL DEFECTS AND/ OR BREAKAGES. FAILURE TO DO SO WILL RESULT IN YOU, THE HIRER BEING RESPONSIBLE. IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO CHECK THE CARAVAN ON ARRIVAL AND REPORT ANY DEFECTS.
Cancellations
5. In the event of a cancellation, the hirer must confirm this in writing. ( Deposits are not refundable in the event of a cancellation.). In the event of a park closure we will rebook your holiday at a date of your choosing, where available.
6. No refund will be made to the hirer whose hiring has commenced and who vacates the caravan for any reason including an emergency at home/ sickness or injury etc.
7. If you cancel/change your holiday, the following penalties will apply:
Cancellation/change up to 6 weeks before arrival – refund of total cost of holiday less deposit paid.
Cancellation/change between 6-4 weeks of arrival – 50% of total cost of holiday will be refunded less booking fee paid.
Cancellation/change within 4 weeks of arrival – no refund will be given.
No refund will be given due to unforeseen circumstances e.g. weather, sickness, park closures. No refunds can be given if guests depart prior to the end of the booked/paid holiday.
If anything were to change with regards to your holiday, we will be in contact with you directly. If we can no longer offer the holiday booked or we need to cancel your booking we will offer alternative dates or a full refund.
General Booking Conditions
8. We strictly permit a maximum of 6 people per caravan . Anyone found breaking this rule will be removed from the site by security. Only the applicants listed on the booking form shall be entitled to occupy the accommodation. Due to the nature to the park we only accept family based parties (parents and children) we do not accept youth groups or same-sex parties, and the lead name of the booking must be aged 25 or over unless they have children. Any breach of this condition will entitle 7 Lakes Country Park to terminate the booking, and to exclude from the park both the applicants and the unauthorised persons. No responsibility will be taken by us, the owners, if this happens.
9. We are private owners at 7 Lakes Country Park. We rent out to private guests, within our agreement with 7 Lakes Country Park, for the sole use of our caravans and not the use of the extra facilities available on the park. A fishing permit is required for fishing and can be purchased at Reception. We are unable to purchase passes on your behalf, or to book any other paid activities.
10. Only the persons on the booking form may stay at the caravan. Over Occupancy will not be tolerated and security will ask you to vacate the caravan.
11. ALL changes to a booking must be made in writing and will be at our discretion.
12. The hirer is responsible for the conduct of all persons listed on the booking form.
13. The hirer agrees that all persons named on the booking form shall be with you (the hirer) during your hire period of the holiday caravan.
14. The hirer shall notify us in writing with any changes to person(s) listed on the booking form at the earliest possible opportunity and in any event, prior to arrival.
15. The hirer must give access to the holiday caravan as/when required to us and 7 Lakes Country Park staff if required during your stay.
16. We do not provide bed linen, although it can be hired additionally from us. We do require you to use bed linen on the quilts, pillows and mattress protectors that are provided. We expect no markings / stains on the bed items provided. Replacement or cleaning of these items will result in the relevant loss of your security deposit.
17. There is a height restriction of 2.03m (6′ 6″) at the entrance barrier. Commercial vehicles are not permitted on site.
Upon Commencement of Hire
18.The holiday caravan maybe occupied from the following times, from the first day of hire;
Check in time 15:00pm ~ Check out time 11:00am
Early check in / late check out can be arranged when you place your booking.
You will be issued with a key and gate fob on arrival. A spare set of Keys and gate fob will be in a key safe at the caravan and can be accessed via a numbered code. This will be texted to you if you need it for emergency use. ONLY THE MOBILE THAT IS REGISTERED WITH US CAN RECIEVE THE TEXT. Loss of keys, then rule 4 will apply.
19. In the case of a maintenance problem, the hirer shall contact your site contact directly or the owners on 07903 272424. D.I.Y repairs must NOT be attempted. If the hirer does any D.I.Y repairs, then rule 4 will apply.
20.Smoking / Vaping is NOT permitted in the caravan OR on the decking area. Standing in the doorway with the door open is not acceptable.
21. The caravan is to be left in a clean and tidy condition, as it was found on arrival, ready for the next tenants, if not, then rule 4 will apply. This extends to the cleaning the bathroom and kitchen areas and ensuring the decking area furniture is returned to its proper location, and the decking free from rubbish. Dirty bed linen that has been hired should be stripped and left on the bedroom floor ready for collection. You will need to supply your own cleaning materials if there are none available. A brush and mop will be provided in the caravan.
22. The holiday caravan MUST be vacated by 11am on the last day of hiring, ready for cleaner to check over.
23. No inside furniture / chairs/ cushions / bedding must be taken outside / even on the decked area. Please use the provided outside furniture. Outside cushions must be taken in after each use and not left outside.
24. Not permited in the caravans
No outdoor footwear to be worn inside the caravan, in particular on carpeted areas.
NO SLIME GLITTER / SAND / PAINT OR PLAYDOUGH TO BE OPENED OR PLAYED WITHIN THE CARAVAN. Please make sure pens and pencils are used on the tables, and leave no marks.
NO OUTDOOR TOYS I.E BIKES, HOVER BOARDS, SCOOTERS, ROLLER SKATES/BLADES. SKATE BOARDS etc
NO CANDLES OR NAKED FLAMES
NO BANNERS or BALLOONS to be put up with CELLOTAPE / BLUE TAC ETC
NO CLIMBING OUT OF THE WINDOWS OR OVER THE DECKING SIDES UNLESS IN A EMERGENCY
NO make up to applied on or over any supplied bedding,soft furnishings or carpets
NO false tan or hair colour to be applied in the Caravan
NO SMOKING / VAPING
Please do not allow your pets to sleep / go on the beds, sofas and any other soft furnishings.
No Prams/Buggies to be left open, and used in the caravans as this has been known to Damage Doors and Fittings.
This list is not exhaustive please ensure there’s no marks or damage within the caravan areas.
Please take care that blinds and curtains, do not get tangled or bent in open windows. Make sure they’re tied / put away before opening doors and windows.
Any marks or stains that cannot be removed from bedding or soft furnishings will be deducted out your deposit.
Behaviour
25.You must show consideration to your neighbours and other guests. Refrain from using loud music and parties after 10pm. 7 Lakes Country Park reserve the right to ask guests who contravene the terms and conditions, or who in any other way are behaving in a manner likely to cause distress or nuisance to other visitors, to leave the park immediately. In these circumstances the holiday ceases and we shall not be liable for any extra costs incurred by you. In order to protect our guests and staff, anyone found to have infectious and contagious diseases or such like will be requested to leave.
You will act in a courteous and considerate manner at all times.
You further agree that you will not:
a) Commit any criminal offence or undertake any criminal activity.
b) Commit any acts of vandalism or nuisance.
c) Keep or carry any firearm or any other weapon at the park.
d) Use any unlawful drugs.
e) Create any undue noise or disturbance.
f) Carry out any trade or business while on the park

Once we have received your deposit, you, the hirer has agreed to the full terms and conditions, as above, as applicable at the time of your booking and holiday.
These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights under English law.
